Mathew Tembo and MILZ team up again after a successful collaboration on Tembo’s album Konkha, released in August 2019. If you are a follower of the much celebrated local series Mpali, Konkha must be a familiar sound by now. “Fale”, the only track from the album that features Milz has proved to be one of the fans’ favorite.
The latest collaboration from the duo is a social commentary banger titled MBILI. The single which features Zikale Tembo, the talented son of legendary reggae icon Jack ‘Burning Youths’ Tembo on bass and electric guitars is yet another master piece. MBILI, sang in Chewa, Nsenga, Tonga, and English, exhibits syncopation and call and response among other Zambia’s indigenous musical elements.
